UROLENE BLUE DESCRIPTION:
METHYLENE BLUE - ORAL (METH-ih-leen-blue)

UROLENE BLUE SIDE EFFECTS:
Nausea, stomach upset, diarrhea, vomiting or bladder irritation may occur. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, notify your doctor. UROLENE BLUE causes the urine, stools and possibly skin to turn green-blue in color. Do not be alarmed. Expect this effect. The discoloration will disappear when the medication is stopped. Notify your doctor if you notice: high fever, severe nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, chest pain, dizziness, profuse sweating. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE UROLENE BLUE:
UROLENE BLUE: Take UROLENE BLUE by mouth usually 3 times a day after meals. Take each dose with a full glass of water. Take UROLENE BLUE as directed. Do not increase the dose, take it more often or continue taking this for longer than prescribed.

UROLENE BLUE USES:
UROLENE BLUE is used as a urinary antiseptic in the treatment of urinary tract infections. It is also used as a diagnostic agent because of its blue staining properties.

UROLENE BLUE PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you have: kidney disease, blood blood disorders (especially G6PD deficiency), allergies. UROLENE BLUE should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if UROLENE BLUE appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

UROLENE BLUE DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

UROLENE BLUE OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

UROLENE BLUE NOTES:
Drink plenty of fluids while taking UROLENE BLUE unless your doctor instructs you otherwise.

MISSED UROLENE BLUE DOSE:
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

UROLENE BLUE STORAGE:
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat, light and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom.
