PYRIDIUM PLUS DESCRIPTION:
PHENAZOPYRIDINE/HYOSCYAMINE/BUTABARBITAL - ORAL (feh-naze-oh-PEER-ih-deen/hye-oh-SYE-uh-meen/byou-tuh-BARB-ih- tall)

PYRIDIUM PLUS SIDE EFFECTS:
Stomach upset, headache, dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness or blurred vision may occur. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. Notify your doctor if you develop chest pain, a rapid pulse, unusual bruising, pale fingernails, unusual weakness, fever, mental confusion or skin rash while taking PYRIDIUM PLUS. Because PYRIDIUM PLUS may cause drowsiness or blurred vision, use caution driving or performing tasks requiring alertness. PYRIDIUM PLUS causes urine to turn orange-red in color. Do not be alarmed. This effect is temporary and will disappear when the medication is stopped. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE PYRIDIUM PLUS:
PYRIDIUM PLUS: Take PYRIDIUM PLUS by mouth as directed usually with food or after meals. Take each dose with a full glass of water and drink plenty of fluids while taking this.

PYRIDIUM PLUS USES:
PYRIDIUM PLUS is used to treat symptoms of urinary tract (bladder) infections such as pain, burning, urinary urgency and frequency.

PYRIDIUM PLUS PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you have any pre-existing kidney disease, liver disease, stomach or intestinal disorders, glaucoma or if your have any allergies. Avoid alcoholic beverages while using PYRIDIUM PLUS, since alcohol may intensify the side effects of PYRIDIUM PLUS. PYRIDIUM PLUS is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using PYRIDIUM PLUS. This combination product contains a barbiturate. Barbiturates pass into breast milk which has resulted in producing undesirable effects on nursing infants. Using PYRIDIUM PLUS while breast-feeding is not recommended.

PYRIDIUM PLUS DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take especially any medication for blood pressure or depression; sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine) or sleeping pills. PYRIDIUM PLUS may interfere with the effectiveness of birth control pills. Discuss using other methods of birth control with your doctor. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

PYRIDIUM PLUS OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, dilated pupils, hot and dry skin, drowsiness, dizziness, difficulty swallowing, seizures, and loss of consciousness.

PYRIDIUM PLUS NOTES:
Do not share PYRIDIUM PLUS with others.

MISSED PYRIDIUM PLUS DOSE:
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

PYRIDIUM PLUS STORAGE:
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom.
