OXISTAT DESCRIPTION:
OXICONAZOLE NITRATE - TOPICAL (ox-ee-CON-uh-zole NYE-trate)

Oxistat

OXISTAT SIDE EFFECTS:
OXISTAT may cause itching, burning, redness, dry or flaky skin or tingling the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop pain, swelling, open sores or a skin rash while using OXISTAT. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE OXISTAT:
OXISTAT: OXISTAT is for topical use only. Clean and dry the affected area as directed. Apply enough cream or lotion to cover the affected area. Use cotton balls or a soft cloth to apply the lotion. Wash hands after application. Do not apply this more often than prescribed. Your condition will not clear faster, but side effects may be increased. Use carefully if applying to the face. Avoid contact with the eyes. Avoid contact with the vagina.

OXISTAT USES:
OXISTAT is an antifungal for use on the skin. It is used to treat skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch and ring worm.

OXISTAT PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you have any pre-existing illness, infections or allergies. OXISTAT should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if OXISTAT is found in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

OXISTAT DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take especially skin products. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

OXISTAT OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

OXISTAT NOTES:
If the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a few days, notify your doctor.

MISSED OXISTAT DOSE:
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not apply it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

OXISTAT STORAGE:
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Check container for expiration date and discard any unused medication after that date.
