MB-TAB DESCRIPTION:
MEPROBAMATE - ORAL (meh-PRO-buh-mate)

Equanil, Miltown

MB-TAB SIDE EFFECTS:
MB-TAB causes drowsiness and dizziness. Other side effects may include stomach upset, blurred vision, headache, impaired coordination, nausea, vomiting, or unusual tiredness or weakness. Notify your doctor if you develop rapid, pounding or irregular heartbeat, sore throat, fever, unusual bleeding or bruising, trembling, trouble sleeping, nightmares or increased dreaming. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE MB-TAB:
MB-TAB: Take with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Take exactly as prescribed. Do not increase your dose or take more often than prescribed. Tolerance may develop to this medication making it less effective with prolonged use. Do not stop taking MB-TAB without your doctor's approval. Your dose may have to be gradually decreased if you have been taking it for some time.

MB-TAB USES:
MB-TAB is used to relieve nervousness and tension.

MB-TAB PRECAUTIONS:
Before taking meprobamate, tell your doctor if you have epilepsy, kidney or liver problems or any drug allergies. Alcohol increases drowsiness. Limit alcohol intake. Use caution while engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Elderly persons are usually more sensitive to the effects of MB-TAB. Use cautiously. Meprobamate is not recommended for use during pregnancy, especially during the first 3 months of pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using MB-TAB. Meprobamate is excreted into breast milk and may cause sedation of the nursing infant. Breast-feeding while using MB-TAB is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

MB-TAB DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Before using MB-TAB tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use especially of medications used for depression, cough-and-cold remedies, sleep aids, narcotic analgesics (e.g., codeine), tranquilizers, anti-seizure drugs and of alcohol consumption. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

MB-TAB OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, sluggishness, and loss of muscle coordination.

MB-TAB NOTES:
Do not share MB-TAB with others.

MISSED MB-TAB DOSE:
If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

MB-TAB STORAGE:
Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
