LORAZEPAM INTENSOL DESCRIPTION:
LORAZEPAM CONCENTRATE - ORAL (lor-AYE-zeh-pam)

LORAZEPAM INTENSOL SIDE EFFECTS:
LORAZEPAM INTENSOL can cause drowsiness, dizziness, loss of coordination, grogginess, headache, nausea, dry mouth, temporary memory loss, or vision changes. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of these unlikely but serious side effects: confusion, depression, agitation; yellowing of the eyes or skin; unusual tiredness; unusual bleeding or bruising. An allergic reaction to LORAZEPAM INTENSOL is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE LORAZEPAM INTENSOL:
LORAZEPAM INTENSOL: This form of lorazepam is to be taken by mouth. For accurate dosing, use only the calibrated dropper provided. It is recommended LORAZEPAM INTENSOL be mixed with at least 2 tablespoons (30 ml; 1 ounce) of liquid or semi-solid foods such as water, juice, soda, applesauce or pudding. Stir in one dose and mix gently for a few seconds. After preparing one dose, drink or eat the entire mixed amount immediately. Do not mix more than one dose to save for later use. Your dosage is based on your medical condition and response to the medication. Use LORAZEPAM INTENSOL exactly as prescribed. Do not increase your dose, take it more frequently, or use it for a longer period of time than prescribed because LORAZEPAM INTENSOL can be habit-forming. Also, if used for an extended period of time (several weeks), do not suddenly stop using LORAZEPAM INTENSOL without your doctor's approval. When used for an extended period, LORAZEPAM INTENSOL may not work as well and may require different dosing. Talk with your doctor if LORAZEPAM INTENSOL stops working well.

LORAZEPAM INTENSOL USES:
Lorazepam is used for certain cases of anxiety, seizures, and sleeping trouble (insomnia).

OTHER USES OF LORAZEPAM INTENSOL:
LORAZEPAM INTENSOL may also be used for tension headaches, alcohol withdrawal, or as a pre-op medicine (before medical procedures) to minimize nausea, vomiting, and anxiety. It can also be used for other purposes as determined by your doctor.

LORAZEPAM INTENSOL PRECAUTIONS:
Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: kidney problems, liver problems, lung problems, glaucoma, muscle disorders; depression or psychiatric conditions; substance abuse problems, any allergies. LORAZEPAM INTENSOL may make you dizzy or drowsy; avoid alcoholic beverages and use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Elderly patients may be more sensitive to the effects of this medication. Use with caution. LORAZEPAM INTENSOL is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor for more details. Lorazepam passes into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on a nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast- feeding.

LORAZEPAM INTENSOL DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use, especially: narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills; drugs used for mental/emotional conditions; seizure medications (e.g., carbamazepine, phenytoin, valproic acid), antihistamines that cause drowsiness (e.g., diphenhydramine), scopolamine, probenecid, muscle relaxants. Check the labels on all your medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products) because they may contain drowsiness-causing ingredients. Ask your pharmacist about the safe use of those products. Avoid the use of alcohol while using lorazepam because extreme drowsiness can occur. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

LORAZEPAM INTENSOL OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include confusion, slow reflexes, clumsiness, deep sleep, and loss of consciousness.

LORAZEPAM INTENSOL NOTES:
Do not share LORAZEPAM INTENSOL with others.

MISSED LORAZEPAM INTENSOL DOSE:
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered. If it is near the time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

LORAZEPAM INTENSOL STORAGE:
Refrigerate between 36-46 degrees F (2-8 degrees C). This product is stable for 30 days when stored at a controlled room temperature between 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C).
