Drug Name: DIFLUCAN IN SALINE DIFLUCAN IN SALINE DESCRIPTION: FLUCONAZOLE - INJECTION (flew-CON-uh-zole) COMMON DIFLUCAN IN SALINE BRAND NAME(S): Diflucan DIFLUCAN IN SALINE SIDE EFFECTS: DIFLUCAN IN SALINE may cause nausea, vomiting, headache, stomach pain, diarrhea. If these symptoms continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: skin rash, jaundice, any other effects while taking DIFLUCAN IN SALINE. DIFLUCAN IN SALINE can affect your liver. Tests will be done to monitor for this. Your therapy will be adjusted accordingly. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. HOW TO USE DIFLUCAN IN SALINE: DIFLUCAN IN SALINE: DIFLUCAN IN SALINE is given by injection by a health care professional. It is usually infused slowly into a vein over a period of 1-2 hours once a day for up to 14 days. Continue using DIFLUCAN IN SALINE for the full time prescribed. Stopping therapy too soon may result in ineffective treatment. DIFLUCAN IN SALINE USES: Fluconazole is used to treat a severe fungal infection. DIFLUCAN IN SALINE PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have any: pre-existing liver disease, kidney disease, any allergies. DIFLUCAN IN SALINE should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if DIFLUCAN IN SALINE appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. DIFLUCAN IN SALINE DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: astemizole, cisapride, cimetidine, oral contraceptives, certain oral antidiabetic drugs (e.g., glyburide, glipizide), cyclosporine, hydrochlorothiazide, phenytoin, rifampin, rifabutin, tacrolimus, terfenadine, theophylline, warfarin, zidovudine. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. DIFLUCAN IN SALINE OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include hallucinations and changes in behavior. DIFLUCAN IN SALINE NOTES: DIFLUCAN IN SALINE is usually administered initially in the hospital where your condition can be monitored closely. Laboratory tests will be done periodically to be sure the drug is working properly and to monitor for possible side effects. MISSED DIFLUCAN IN SALINE DOSE: It is important to use each dose at the scheduled time. If you miss a dose, contact your doctor who will help establish a new dosing schedule.
